Aquatic therapy is really a specialized form of physical therapy. We recognize the positive effect of applying this water modality to our patient treatment programs. It improves motion and functionality while allowing the muscles to relax.
Gwasha is an Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. It is a manual technique your physical therapist can perform using a plastic or metal tool or “blade.” Your therapist can perform Gwasha using a variety of pressures and speeds to help healing and inflammation, facilitate a contraction (turn a muscle on), or inhibit a muscle (turn a muscle off).
Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of physical therapy, and it is still widely practiced today. Acupuncture has grown greatly in popularity as being a highly effective tool for supporting injury recovery, mobility issues, and in treating chronic pain.
Our dedicated team of trained professionals have a sole focus, to understand the primary source of your injury and provide you with a targeted and comprehensive treatment plan for your pain. Our practitioners are both compassionate and caring, ambitious toward helping you reach your highest level of performance with pain reduction and increased mobility as a priority.
Our complementary approaches to pain are highly effective by providing a combination of treatments you may need when your pain makes it hard to move around and do everyday tasks. Our treatments help you move better, relieve your pain, help improve or restore your physical function and your fitness level. As supported by the National Institute of Health our services provided at Vineyard Complementary Medicine on Martha’s Vineyard are evidence supported with cost-effective results.
